Start with a useful moment
Think about the point where a customer has experienced the work and can fairly comment on it. That might be after an appointment, a completed repair or a final handover.
Make the invitation part of the completion process, so it does not depend on someone remembering at the end of a busy day.
Keep the message personal and brief
Thank the customer, explain what you are asking and provide the direct review link. Use your business name so the message is easy to recognise.
Ask consistently
Use the same fair invitation process for eligible customers. Avoid filtering requests based on whether you expect a positive review, or making a reward conditional on feedback.
Make it easy to act
A direct link and a short message reduce the effort involved. Before setting anything live, test the message on a phone and make sure it opens the intended business profile.
Build the routine, then review it
Check that invitations are reaching customers and that the wording feels right. Look at feedback over time, rather than expecting every invitation to produce a review.
